16-Part Theatre Orchestra Method
YTOoA uses a 16 part orchestration, a proprietary and evolutionary orchestral layout based on the Broadway pit and Hollywood film orchestras.
The 16-Part Method is specifically arranged for students of all levels to perform a wide variety of musical styles and genres.
In addition to featuring the main instruments found in conventional orchestras, the 16-Part Method orchestral layout also features instruments not commonly found in conventional orchestral layouts, including piano, guitar, saxophone and drum set, thus enabling students that play instruments not usually found in standard orchestras to play a diverse selection of music.
Maestro Nunzio Sisto’s dream is to one day have youth ensembles using YTO’s 16-Part Method in schools nationwide to reaffirm the study of music in public schools across the country, and make it fun and accessible for students of all ages.
